Tracker 2800
Remote Site Manager

A Linux based appliance to provide heterogeneous out-of-band management to devices, local administration and monitoring, plus auditing for regulatory compliance .

The Tracker 2800 remote site manager is a dedicated, low power appliance to help access, monitor and support remote field devices.

  • Ethernet, modem and serial connectivity.
  • Device agnostic, multi-vendor platform for fast processing and storage of user data.
  • Customisable platform for device event monitoring and automation.
  • Highly secure connectivity, user authorisation and auditing.

Deployed Globally
Trusted By Governments, Carriers & Service Providers

The Tracker 2800 Remote Node is a reliable and dependable platform to provide in-band and out-of-band connectivity for remote site management. It includes security features like a stateful packet inspection firewall and IPSEC VPN tunnelling and can help overcome complex network IP addressing issues with Network Address Translation (NAT).

Remote Infrastructure Management

Why implement multiple third party or vendor specific solutions? The Tracker 2800 is an all-in-one platform for remote infrastructure management.

Improve Service Levels

Ensure that your engineers have a trouble free and convenient method for securely accessing equipment at remote sites (even during power failures or for power cycles). Proactively or passively monitor the health status of connected devices. Filter and forward any alarms/events and automate fault-resolution.

Reduce Operational Expense

With support for up to 16 multi-vendor devices per unit, you can save on deployment costs compared to other multi-box solutions. Our Tracker Management Software will make it easy to backup and copy deployment configurations, reducing deployment time. With its comprehensive security protection and custom application capabilities, there's even less of a reason to incur costs sending knowledgeable personnel to site to troubleshoot and fix issues.

Achieve Regulatory Compliance

More and more industries are being held to account by regulation. It is not sufficient to say you are compliant, you must prove it. The Tracker 2800 is your ally in controlling user access and auditing activity, enforcing access policies and ensuring best practice for remote site management.

Tracker 2800 Features

Whatever your equipment, however remote, the Tracker 2800 is the platform of choice to manage your infrastructure effectively.

Access Features

The first step in remote site management is the ability to access one or more devices securely.

Secure

Secure

Access via Secure Shell (SSH) and Secure File Transfer (SFTP). Additional security features such as source address (IP and Caller ID/ANI) filtering. Plus option to use unique, user-transparent, two-factor authenticated secure modem.

Connectivity

Connectivity

Supports out-of-band and in-band management. Choose from an arrangement of managed device connectivity; Ethernet, or serial. Features dial-in and dial-out ASCII and PPP via optional PSTN modem (with VPN support). Fully configurable firewall. Dual Ethernet enables routing between networks. Supports the IPSEC (with Configuration Helper) VPN protocol.

Network Address Translation

Network Address Translation

Overcome complex IP network addressing schemes and resolve IP address conflicts.

Pre-Configurable

Pre-Configurable

Pre-configurable for direct shipment to site and plug-and-play remote service delivery.

Administration Features

Once connected to a device on a remote network, you need to be able to run various applications that monitor the device, support its administration and respond to any faults that occur.

Heterogeneous Environments

Heterogeneous Environments

A device-agnostic, multi-vendor platform. Standard protocols supported. Custom integrations are easily written.

Data Logging

Data Logging

Generous user data storage and the ability to connect to a wide range of devices make the Tracker series ideal as a data-logging platform. Logged data can be locally processed and acted upon to save bandwidth and improve efficiencies elsewhere.

Event Monitor & Filter

Event Monitor & Filter

Collects and inspects managed-device log data in real-time to process and filter alarm/event data. Sends alarm or takes pre-defined recovery action based on log messages. Alarm forwarding output types: Tracker alerts, Syslog and SNMP trap data.

Custom Automation

Custom Automation

Python scripting engine used for rapid development of custom functionality. Use SDK with existing development skills, attend Data Track approved training or commission Data Track for development projects.

Compliance Features

Being able to remotely manage equipment is only half the story. There are more and more demands that compliance can be proved.

User Authorisation

User Authorisation

Multiple username/password accounts. Combine with modem and IP security to restrict access by source.

Admin Policy

Admin Policy

Customised menu restricts user choices to specific actions on the managed device. Full CLI access is optionally withheld.

Full Session Auditing

Full Session Auditing

Audits Access. Keystroke logging on serially-attached managed devices.

Physical Security

Physical Security

Monitor the physical environment around your other hardware. Optional accessories for the collection and reporting of environmental data such as door sensors and temperature and humidity for root-cause analysis of managed device failure.
